Death of Jesus - Body Depicting Nail Wounds
Andrea Mantegna created this view of the death of Christ. The tempera on canvas, depicting nail wounds in the feet and hands, is entitled The Lamentation over the Dead Christ. Mantegna painted it, c. 1490, and it is currently maintained at the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan, Italy.
